The 6.7 Powerstroke exhaust back pressure sensor is located on the driver’s side of the engine, behind the turbocharger. It is mounted in the exhaust manifold and measures the pressure in the exhaust system. If you have a 6.7 Powerstroke, then you know that the exhaust back pressure sensor is an important part of the truck’s emission system.
The ford unit has three sensors for temperature and a pressure sensor mounted up near the air cleaner for when the DPF needs to be burnt off. Hypothetically I may have cut a ford one up to remove the DPF and Cat after a reflash on a race car of course. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.

It provides the path to ground for a 20V signal from the DEF pump for a calculated duty cycle. This is used to keep pressure built up in the system.
