Considered the BMW X5, BMW 4XM series, Acura TLX, Audi A6 3.0, etc. The minute I drove the S5, I was knew it was the car I'd been looking for. I still giggle every time the engine roars to life when I start it. I haven't tracked it (I probably won't) so this "understeer" business you hear about Audi is probably there, but it's worth writing off.

The S5 with the 3.0L supercharged engine runs the same transmission. The C7 S6, with it's 4.0L twin turbo runs the same transmission. I met up with a friend who has an S6, stage 3, with RS7 turbos. He's north of 600hp and probably as much torque. He's running a stock DL501 transmission, same one as found in the RS5.
